Blah....

I have been absent from school, cant get out of bed. And through all of the vomiting, head splitting pain, sore throat, barley able to swallow, and a horrid cough that never seems to go away, I have had something on my mind nonstop, EXPLORING TECH!! I HAVE to BLOG! So I rolled out of bed trying to get to my lap top, its not working, I cant move, so I call for my mom, and I have her hand me my laptop. I log on to Blogger and blog, I realize its a day late, but we didn't have school on Monday, I got got sick on Saturday, and I just knew I had to Blog. I have had a fever of 100.3 for three days! I went to the doctors today and was diagnosed with Mono AND Strep! So, here I am laying in my bed, thinking of Exploring Tech, and Mrs. Chambers. Hopefully I will be back on Thursday. I hope the class is going well, I miss you all! Hope you are having a great week so far.

If I had the power!

If I could change any rule that is currently in the Sand Creek handbook, I would change the mandatory exam policy. The school is using the excuse that they are preparing us for college, well isn’t that what we are doing on basic tests? Teachers should already be teaching us and preparing us for college. I do not think that people should be based on what they know by a test. I am strongly against semester exams. I think it should be changed to the following: If a student should fail a semester of class they should be required to take the exam. I believe that all students would agree with me on this rule. I do think that some of the teachers would agree with me and some would disapprove.

If I could add any rule, I would add a rule I would say that everyone should be required to have one full hour of study hall. We could add study hall as a required class. Students could get so much done in an hour. They could work on homework or on a project, or simply read. I would add this rule because I think that will all of the stress that school adds and with home life on top of that it can be a lot of one person to handle, and one cannot have enough time to finish an assignment. Possible ramifications that could occur with this rule would be students not using the hour and just using it as a social opportunity. I think the staff would agree with me on this, it would give them an hour to work as well as students. Consequences if someone broke this rule would be them sitting in D-Block of the day in complete silence.

A sad but happy ending

Wow, I really cant believe how fast time has gone. Seniors are going to be gone! I'm happy for them to know that they have made it this far, and that they will have have an amazing adventure and journey ahead of them. I'm sad to see them go. I will miss a lot of them. Its crazy to think that I will be graduating next year. I feel like I am still a kid and just getting into high school. I'm scared, but excited at the same time. Growing up is a fact a life that everyone has to come to. School is my second home. I see these people everyday, it seems that I'm at school more than I am at home. I know these halls and the rooms and all of the teachers. I will miss them so incredibly much. I hope the best for this years seniors and for next years senior class, my class. Hopefully it will be like all of the good books; "And they all lived happily every after."

Ohh Prom.....

I did go to my Prom. I was a little annoyed because they people I went with were really late and we missed two hours of prom. It honestly was OK. The music was really bad, songs were played that no one knew and there was a point were they were only five people on the dance floor. So the music was horrible, we got their late, left a little early, and guess what!? We were late to after prom because the people I went with were late, again. So my prom wasn't the best. I hope next year it will be a lot better.
