Christmas Comes but once a year!

I love Christmas! I love getting together with my family and celebrating the great times. My family comes home and we spend time together. We bake  and cook and have a great time. My favorite cookie is traditional, chocolate chip. I'm really looking forward to a great Christmas. Hope you all have a greatest Christmas too!

Who would I be as a musician

If I could be a musician I would choose to be the talented Rihanna. She has such an amazing voice. Her songs have inspired so many people.  Whenever I hear one of her songs come on I just feel like singing as loud as I can. She has such an amazing voice and I would absalutly love to have her voice!

The LaLaurie House

One of the places that I truly want to go to.  A historic landmark in New Orleans. The house is HAUNTED!! " It tragically recounts the brutal excess of slavery in a horrifying and gruesome manner because for more than 150 years, and through several generations, the Lalaurie house has been considered the most haunted location in the French Quarter.
Let’s just say this story is not for the faint of heart.... and not for the weak of stomach either." (http://www.prairieghosts.com/lalaurie.html)  I love going to actual haunted places. I have been to one, and I cant wait to go to another.  I would love to spend the night in this place and explore it!

Black Friday/Cyber Monday

So this past Friday was a famous holiday to many moms, dads and pretty much everybody.  Black Friday was crazy!  This was my first Black Friday experience. We were out of the door at 6:00 am.  We first started at Adrian and then headed to Toledo.  It wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be, but then maybe I just didn't go to the busy places. I did get some good stuff though!  And today is Cyber Monday! So that means that when I get home from school I will be shopping online and looking for some great deals! Im need to go home and finish my homework so I can get shopping! Good luck to all who will be shopping!

Gobbel Gobbel!! Turkey Day!!

Happy almost Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  Its such a great time for family to get together and just truly be thankful for what they have.  My family is huge! I have cousins that I don't even know about.  But because many live far away, and we all don't always get together, we are having a small Thanksgiving dinner. My mom cooks enough for a army! "Rathe have enough than not enough!" she always says! She makes most of the food: the turkey, potatoes, gravy, deserts, salad, casseroles, and much more! Everyone else just brings a dish (which is kinda annoying, but what ever. ). I really love when they family gets together. My sisters come home and we have a lot of fun! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. I remember to truly be thankful for what you have.

Happy Spinach and Squash month!

Happy Spinach and Squash month! I love spinach! I put it in so many meals.  My favorite meal to put spinach in is Alfredo.  It is extremely good for you.  When I was young, I didn't like because I didn't make it right.  The only way I eve had it was from a can, but now that I cook, I know how to make it a good way.  Squash is so yummy! My grandparents were the first to make it for me. They cut in half and put butter and salt on it, then filled it with rice, onions, and peppers in it. It is so yummy! I love it that way, but I can also just eat it with butter and salt.  They put it in the oven for maybe around 30 minuets, not so sure on the time, but it is so good! I hope you get in your spinach and squash for the month!

Over the weekend...

I had a pretty good weekend! I went up to Lansing to celebrate my sister’s birthday! It was really fun! We went to a crazy expensive restraint, the food wasn’t even good. It always great to see my sisters. They both live far away so when I get to see them, I always have a great time. I miss them a lot. We stayed the night and the next day we left for home. The rest of the Sunday I had I did my homework, which is of course how I want to spend my weekend. But, for the most part it was a great weekend. Hope you have a great week!

My favorite costume

Halloween is a time where you can get the chance to dress up what you have always imagine to be. Something you look to in intrest. My favoirte costume was by far when I dressed up as an Indian. I am always told about my dark complection. So I thought to being an Indian would be the perfect thing to dress up as. My Nan (grandma) would always call me Pocahontas because of my long brown hair and dark complection and brown eyes. If I do say so myself, I played the part perfectly! I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

ME

Imagination Station

I went to Iimagination Station last Friday! I think I have been there before I cant quite remember. I must have been very young because when I was there a lot of things were familiar.  I did have fun. My favorite part would have to be the Wind Tunnel and the Hurricane. Would I go back? Yes, I guess. I had fun but after a while it did get a little boring.  There were also a lot of little kids running around which made it a little weird but for the most part I really did have fun.  I got to see things that I never thought I would see in my life. The Body exhibit was......interesting. I did think it would be a lot worse than I had imagined but it wasn't too bad. It was fascinating looking at all of the body parts and what they look like inside your body. I would recommend going! You really do learn a lot. And it was very cool because I watched an experiment involving physics and what they girl was doing I was learning in physics and I knew and understood what she was talking about! It was a lot of fun.

The gift I have recieved.....

To think about it, there are a lot of gifts given in life. To pick my favorite is defiantly hard. To think of all the things I am blessed with really makes me think what the best present I have received is.  I value memories, and things that remind me of them I tend to treasure.  My mother for my birthday is year, gave me a beautiful black diamond ring. As soon as I seen the ring I could barley even talk.  I was in such shock.  I love the black diamond because its different.  Most diamond rings are white, but this on being black meant to me that its different, and so am I.  I really don't think it could be any more beautiful. I am so grateful for this gift. It truly means a lot to me.

Homecoming Week has come and gone

Homecoming was last week! I always enjoy homecoming week because that means on Friday there will be a pep assembly! I love getting in front of the school and pepping everybody up. We do a bunch of games and activities with the schools students and teachers. Being a cheerleader I help put a lot of effort into the day let alone the week. It is a very crazy hectic week full of stress and hard work.  But when the pep assembly starts everything gets better and a lot of stress is lifted off of the shoulders.  I had a lot of fun getting the opportunity to be in font of the whole school and watch them have fun and get involved.  We had Spirit Week! The days were ok this year, there was pj day, duck tape day, decades day, awareness day, and then GREEN AND WHITE DAY!!!! I had a lot of fun, I cant wait for next year!

Walking down the halls of your high school

Just went down the halls of our High School. Wanted to record what I see 5 out of 7 days of the week.  There are a lot of stories and memories in our halls. Hopefully you can see what I see everyday. After high school, you have to find a new hall way to make new stories and memories. But always treasure the ones you still hold in your halls of your high school.

Think before you speek

I read an article this evening and was in total shock to read that a 14 year old boy committed suicide from being the target of bullying.  People were calling him gay and telling him how he should kill himself and make it easier for everyone.  Its almost hard for me to believe that kids are actually that rude and hurtful to others.  I see bulling occur everyday in the halls of my own school, not thinking to much of it, but when I hear or read an article and discover that a young kid had decided that taking his own life would be the better outcome rather than going through the bullying any longer.  In the article it read ages 10-21, suicide is the 3rd ranking cause of death.  Knowing that bullying has gone this far, it has to be stopped.  Something needs to happen, and fast, or the next time you walk down your own school hall way, one person could be missing.  If you see someone who you think is being bullied, say something, stand up for them. Try looking at the situation as if it were you getting bullied.  Think before you speak, even if you think its just messing around, to someone it is more. Words can hurt, they can even take a life. Think about it.

We The Kings

The Best Band EVER!!!! We The Kings! <3
First day in blogging! Have never made a blog before, I have read some amazing ones, but never thought to make one. Learning a lot about them. Just got back from lunch, sitting with Tara, just talking. Trying to think of something to type.
